Amaiva is proud to sponsor CTLA and share their story

Based in East Sussex, CTLA has been quietly transforming lives for over two decades through accessible, reliable, and compassionate transport services.

We’re proud to sponsor their amazing work and would like to shine a spotlight on the difference they make.

A Service Built Around People

CTLA- Community Transport for the Lewes Area, is much more than just a transport provider. Their mission is rooted in inclusion, dignity, and independence. With a fleet of accessible minibuses and a dedicated team of staff and volunteers, they support individuals who face barriers to traditional transport—whether due to age, disability, health conditions, or rural isolation.

Their services enable people to remain connected to their communities, their families, and their everyday lives.

Services That Make a Difference

Door-to-Door Transport

CTLA’s Dial-a-Ride and scheduled services offer safe, friendly, door-to-door travel for people who might otherwise be stuck at home. Whether it’s a shopping trip, a community centre visit, or just the ability to get out into town, these journeys make everyday life more accessible.

Social Outings & Travel Club

CTLA’s Travel Club adds joy to life by organising inclusive day trips that bring people together and combat loneliness. For many these are the only social opportunities they have—making them just as important as any clinical service.

Trusted, Safe and Professional Community Transport for the Lewes Area

CTLA holds itself to the highest standards. All drivers are DBS-checked and MiDAS-trained. Vehicles are adapted for comfort and accessibility, and the team takes a proactive approach to passenger welfare—often following up if someone misses a scheduled journey.

That human touch is what sets CTLA apart.

Powered by Volunteers

Volunteers are the heartbeat of CTLA. From friendly drivers to travel companions, they bring dedication and warmth that no app or algorithm could replace. The charity offers full training and flexible hours—making it easy to give back and be part of something genuinely meaningful.

Looking to the Future

CTLA continues to:

  • Build partnerships with local organisations like Age UK and town councils

  • Apply for grants to expand services and sustainability

  • Embrace innovation while keeping community at the core

Amaiva believe in this mission and are excited to be part of their journey.

Why CTLA Matters

In every community, there are people quietly left behind—not by choice, but by circumstance. CTLA exists to bring them back into the fold. Their work restores something essential: connection.

Travel Club & Newsletter

CTLA’s Travel Club is free to join and open to all registered members. While each trip or outing carries a small fee, the experiences are carefully planned to be social, accessible, and great value—offering members the chance to get out, meet others, and enjoy new places.

To keep everyone informed, CTLA can send out a monthly digital newsletter packed with upcoming trip details and how to book.
