This essential training helps reduce the risk of injury, improve safety at work, and meet legal and regulatory requirements — especially for carers, healthcare staff, and manual labourers.

Our Manual Handling Training is suitable for:

Domiciliary and residential care staff

Healthcare workers

Cleaning and facilities staff

Office and warehouse teams

Anyone required to lift, move, or assist others safely

No prior experience needed.

What the Course Covers


Our training is hands-on, practical, and delivered by experienced professionals. Topics include:

Understanding manual handling legislation (Health & Safety at Work Act, 1974)

The anatomy of the spine and common injuries

Risk assessments and safe working techniques

Correct lifting, lowering, pushing, and pulling methods

Use of hoists, slide sheets, transfer belts (for people handling)

Practical demonstrations and supervised practice

We tailor sessions for either general load handling or people handling (for care environments).

Course Options & Pricing

Manual Handling (Objects Only). 

3 hours.

£60pp or £450 Group (up to 10 people)

People Handling (Care-based).

4 hours.

£80pp or £550 Group (up to 10 people)

​

Combined Manual & People Handling

6hours.

£90pp or £650 Group (up to 10 people) 

Training at Your Location or Ours

We can deliver training at your workplace, care setting, or community centre across Brighton and surrounding areas. Alternatively, join one of our scheduled open sessions.

All equipment is provided. Just bring yourself — and a willingness to move!
